Shelia deCordova

I graduated from University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, in Chickasha with a BA in Art with special painting emphasis. I have done sculpture, pottery and many types of art but fell in love with painting on walls and furniture. I embrace the concept of creating art you can live with.
I now live in Piedmont and I work all over the Greater Oklahoma City metro.
I started my deCorative painting business a few years ago and have been so lucky to have found great decorators to work with. When I started I worked in many houses with Jennifer Todd, of Piedmont. Angie Harrison has helped me realize my passion for zebra stripes. With their inspiration I’ve faux painted in beautiful professionally decorated model homes for Newhaven, Livingston Meyers, and Bridgeport Homes, including many Central Oklahoma Builders Association Parade of Homes.
Decorating is constantly going through trends much like fashion. I am constantly researching and trying out the newest and latest faux painting techniques. Before choosing a finish for your room, consider whether it deserves something fun and trendy or if it would benefit from that timeless classic like “the little black dress”.
I’m not afraid of color, I embrace it! I’ve learned over the years that you have to go bold if you want “WOW”!!
My husband Clay and I have two children that we constantly drive around! They are active in sports and scouts and always on the go. We also attend church at Spring Creek Worship Center currently meeting at the Piedmont Elementary.
Recently I have started demonstrating Stampin' Up products so I can share my creativity by teaching others to make beautiful cards and scrapbooking pages.
